Kintsugi Class
Kintsugi, also known as kintsukuroi, is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage a gold filling. Kintsugi literally means “to join with gold, and demonstrates that brokenness can create greater beauty and interest. In this pay-what-you-can class (donation suggestion: $20) facilitated by Sam Wolf students will begin a reflective and meditative journey in which they join together pieces of broken pottery to make a new creation. Kintsugi Class
Kintsugi, also known as kintsukuroi, is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage a gold filling. Kintsugi literally means “to join with gold, and demonstrates that brokenness can create greater beauty and interest. In this pay-what-you-can class (donation suggestion: $20) facilitated by Sam Wolf students will begin a reflective and meditative journey in which they join together pieces of broken pottery to make a new creation. The Ancient Art of Ebru Class
In this class, participants will be introduced to the traditional Turkish art of water marbling (ebru). We will explore its brief history, its connections to Turkish and Islamic arts, its underlying philosophy, and the materials and techniques that bring ebru to life. Our teaching artist Vesile Yilmaz will be teaching how to work with ceramic surfaces, including surface preparation and dipping techniques. Flow Jam
A Flow Jam is a community gathering where members come together to practice and share flow arts like hula hooping, poi, fans, and staves. Our flow jam is a free and no-pressure event where we want flow performers to be allowed to explore their creative expression and to share their skills. Flow jams can also be a great opportunity to meet others and learn new things!

Introduction to Mosaic Art Class
