Content Creation 101

Date: 04/27/2026
Time: 06:30 PM – 08:30 PM

Mark your calendars for April 27th, from 6:30-8:30 PM!

Content creators and influencers on the Internet, social media, and video sharing platforms comprise a rapidly growing area of the arts and entertainment industries. Where visual artists historically relied on brick-and-mortar galleries to display, publicize, and sell their art, the ease of use and wide reach of Internet platforms are now being used extensively by artists to display, share, promote, and sell their art directly to collectors.

Join us for an interactive panel discussion with entertainment and intellectual property attorneys from the Wisconsin Entertainment Lawyers Association (WELA) to discuss the topics artists need to know when navigating the Internet, social media, and video sharing platforms with relation to their art. Our panelists will discuss major legal and practical issues in this fast-moving area, including an overview of the various platforms, copyright and trademark issues, sponsorship agreement basics, and legal pitfalls to avoid.
